Arsenal Lost! 0 - 2 Defeat To Brentford!
Avid Arsenal fan Piers Morgan tore into the Gunners after they lost their opening match of the season against newly-promoted Brentford. Sergi Canos and Christian Norgaard scored either side of half-time to earn the Bees a well-deserved victory.
Arsenal were without two of their key men in Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and they were no match for their hosts.
Emile Smith Rowe had the north Londoners' best effort but his shot from the edge of the box was well saved.
Brentford's heart and desire saw them richly deserve to kick off their campaign with three points.
And Morgan was livid as he launched into a Twitter outburst.
"This is pathetic," he wrote. "We’re being bullied off the park by a team of players who’ve never performed in the Premier League
"Even by Arteta standards, a new low. I can’t do this for the next nine months."
Morgan later added: "To be fair to Arteta, he did say Arsenal would surprise everyone this season - and they have: we’ve got worse."
